Sony Camera Settings for Computer Control
Iconasys support a long list of compatible Sony cameras for remote computer connection and control. Sony has two available software developers kits (SDK’s) we use internally to control Sony cameras via software. Information on each, and supported camera models is listed as follow below:
Wireless SDK (2017-2019): Sony’s wireless SDK was released as beta in 2017 and only provides support for older Sony camera models. This allows users to control supported cameras via wireless commands (over a wireless network). Development on the Sony Wireless SDK was discontinued in 2019.
Wired SDK (2020+): Sony’s wired SDK was released in 2020. Iconasys was provided exclusive access and has worked closely with the Sony development team to integrate this into our Shutter Stream Product Photography Software. The wired SDK allows users to control supported Sony cameras via USB connection to the computer.
If for any reason you are unable to connect your compatible camera after following the camera setting instructions, please contact our technical support team.
