360 Product Photo Notes
360 Product Photos are a great way for online retailers to increase conversion rates. This 360 Product Photo example of a RIO Beach Chair was shot using 5 Iconasys LED Studio Lights. We set this up as high key lighting with two non-diffused LED softboxes pointed directly at the background, one top down light on a boom stand and two lights placed on the floor illuminating the chair. The back lights were at full power, the top light was at 90% power and the front lights were at 60% power. This lighting set up allowed us to shoot the chair, evenly exposed and color accurate while shooting very close to a pure white background instantly from the camera.
We used our Platinum Series LRG Turntable with the Turntable Extension Kit and a 48″ diameter acrylic top to ensure we had a large enough footprint to place the chair on. To automate the 360 image capture process (60 total images per 360 rotation), Shutter Stream 360 Product Photo Software worked in unison with the turntable in a turn, stop, snap workflow. After the image set had been captured, we made a small color adjustment (using Tint & Hue) and slight adjustment to levels in the Editing mode of Shutter Stream 360 Software to achieve a pure white background.
