3D Jewelry Photography Notes

This Jade Bracelet was very straight forward when shooting in 3D. The total process time was about 6 mintues (about 1.5-2 minutes to capture 48 frames (this is an automated process) then editing, processing and output taking another ~4 minutes. The LumiPad 360 Lighting was great for accurate color reproduction (high CRI bulbs). We set one sheet of white foamboard (included with LumiPad 360 Lighting Kits) on top of the LumiPad lighting panels to help contain light and eliminate dark reflections (shot in a dark room). Light leakage on the side of the studio helped to create additional contrast on either side of the bracelet. We had used the small 360 Acrylic Riser used on top of the Silver MID series turntable to help eliminate shadows – which resulted in high quality 3D jewelry photography with a pure white background.

In the included Shutter Stream 360 Product Photography Software, we applied some editing changes in a batch process (edit one image then click apply to all). Edits included:

Levels: Minimal adjustments to black, white and midtones to adjust colors
Sharpness: Added a value of 2 to sharpness to enhance image quality

Users of any skill level can expect to create high quality 360 jewelry photography in seconds using this exact set up. Please contact us for additional info.
