360 Toy Photography Notes

We used the Iconasys 4 Light LED Studio Kit to create a High Key Lighting Technique (to shoot 360 Toy Photography on white backgrounds). We positioned 2X lights at the background and set lights to full power. We then positioned 2X lights up front to light the subject – these were set at 50% dimming. By doing this, when we set the correct exposure for the product, the background is blown out to white.

We shot a total of 72 frames per 360 rotation (automated in a turn, stop, snap workflow) this process took ~2 minute. Next, we applied some batch image editing in the Shutter Stream 360 Software. These included:

Levels: Minimal adjustments to white reference point to achieve white on turntable platform surface
Sharpness: Increased Sharpness by 1.5 to enhance image quality
