How did we Shoot this 360 Product View Example

360 product view creation of this Hanging Necklace was simple with the right tools. The LumiCube 360 Jewelry Photography Light Box includes adjustable lighting (dimming + color adjustable) and by using the ‘warm’ light in the on position, we can get very color accurate photos of gold jewelry. The Shutter Stream 360 Product Photography + Video Software controlled the entire image creation workflow. We connected the Canon EOS M50 via USB to computer and after doing so, we get a large real time preview within the software. This is critical for 360 image composition. We adjust and optimize camera settings via mouse clicks to achieve correct exposure, we can also set and fix a focal point to be used in for the 360 set of images. Last, we open the top slider door on the Light Box and place the Silver 360 Jewelry Turntable so the stem protrudes into the studio. This allows us to place the necklace on the hanging kit then secure the hanging kit to the turntable stem (mounts via magnet). After camera and lighting settings are dialed in, we select number of frames to capture – we selected 48 frames (with an option to over 8,000) and set a 4 second pre-capture delay to ensure no product swing between turntable start and stop. By hitting start in the software, the 360 image capture workflow is automated in a turn, stop, snap workflow – while automatically uploading images into the software after capture.

The last steps in creating this 360 product view example was first to edit – this was done in a batch process and allowed us to achieve a pure white background and apply slight color correction. Then we proceeded with composing the image set into a 360 product view using the included publishing software. 360 product view output is available in multiple different formats and users have the ability to customize 360 views to their liking.
