360 Earring Photography Notes
Iconasys 360 Photography Turntables are a versatile option and include many accessories to aid in the production of 360 product photography of items that will not sit upright on the turntable.
In this 360 Earring Photography Example, we use our Silver MID 360 Photography Turntable with the 360 Earring Photography Hanging Kit. The earring hanging kit uses a T-Bar mount that connects to the turntable motor stem via magnet – this allows for easy placement and centering when shooting earrings in 360 product photography and 360 product video. The result in the 360 example above required very little image editing and took just minutes to create.
We used the Medium Iconasys LumiPad 360 Lighting Kit when photographing this example. The backlight sat behind the turntable and earring while the two Spectro LED Panel lights sat underneath the earring facing upwards. The Spectro panel lights sat ~30″ away from the earrings, were set to 50% brightness and set to color temperature of 4,800K.
For suspending the turntable, we used 2X 31″ tall Sawhorses, and a 2 x 4 foot sheet of wood which we drilled a 2″ hole in the center and painted white on the bottom. Last, we used two white 20 x 30″ white foamboard sheets (included with LumiPad 360 Lighting Kit) to help control side reflections.
