360 Product Photo Notes

This 360 Product Photo was fairly straight forward! While we could have shot this with the Medium 360 LumiPad 360 Product Photography Lighting Kit, we decided to take a different approach and instead use a combination of Iconasys LED Studio Lights. The LED Studio lights were set up to create a high key lighting effect which allowed us to overexpose the background, getting very close to pure white instantly out of the camera. We also used a top down light and a light from the front (positioned lower than the subject) pointing upwards (this helped us eliminate harsh reflections on the plastic label on the front of the product. We also used two white 20 x 30″ white foamboard sheets to bounce lighting back on to the subject.

The Silver MID turntable was perfect for this product, we also used the 20″ 360 Acrylic Riser to eliminate any harsh shadows. Images were edited in the Shutter Stream 360 software and only required a slight adjustment to Levels to get the final result (which we applied in a batch process).
