360 Product View Notes

For photographing jewelry in 360, it is suggested to use a higher frame count / 360 rotation. This will ensure for a smooth rotation and attractive 360 jewelry product view.

In this example we shot 120 frames (that is 1 capture every 3 degrees). The 360 Jewelry Photography Turntable was placed inside the Jewelry Photography Light Box -which had all lights on set to full power (including LED Sparkle Light on).  We also used a piece of white foam board that we cut a hole out in the middle which acted as a front door. This helped retain light in the studio & minimize reflections from the front opening on the studio.

The Canon Rebel T5 camera and 100mm (f/2.8) Macro Lens was positioned about 13″ back (from the tip of the lens to the front of the ring). We had shot using an aperture of 13 (which we felt provided enough depth) and used a shutter speed at 1/25 (ISO set to 100). An option for those who require macro photography fully in focus from front to back, consider using the 360 Product Photography Focus Stacking shooting mode.

Last, we used the Shutter Stream 360 Product Photography Software Editing tools to batch edit the set of images. Edits included:

White Point Color Picker: To adjust off white background to pure white
Sharpness: To enhance image quality
Levels: Adjusted Dark and Mid-tones to add contrast and make the silver pop
